Well I just typed a full description of this beast and then my browser crashed. It’s times like this a VERY small part of me wishes I could set my dignity aside and use AI for this shit, but it ain’t gonna happen!
LET’S TRY AGAIN.
We have never before seen this truly incredible vintage Eddie Bauer design. The tag dates it to the 1950’s which is generally a very difficult era to track down for Eddie Bauer garments, especially in this near-mint condition.
The design itself is like nothing we’ve ever seen from EB. Fully reversible, with thick billowy goose down insulation.
Both sides of the jacket are amazing, but the survival red side takes the slight edge for us. The other side is a sort of concrete gray/ light sage green with knit cuffs/ collar and zip hand warming pockets. The red side features full hip pockets, and (our favorite part) the charcoal gray knits are visible on this side as well which looks so badass with the red!
Amazing two-sided TALON zipper in perfect condition. And to top it all off, the red side appears to made of beautiful, super expensive/ luxurious BYRD CLOTH windproof material.
