No, this isn’t some sort of badass RRL/ Nigel Cabourn/ Real McCoy fantasy piece, thought it does fit perfectly into a modern Menswear wardrobe. This is a real and absolutely incredible design that has inspired and been references by endless high-end fashion brands. This is a vintage Canadian Arctic Pararescue Jacket. Produced in incredibly limited quantities for the famed/ elite SAR-Techs, who are trained to conduct Search and Rescue missions during incredibly dangerous/ difficult situations (Such as ocean rescues at night/ during storms, etc)!

The jacket is made of a perfectly broken in, gorgeous and soft wind/ water resistant “Survival Orange” windproof shell with contrasting olive drab lining. One of the best combinations of colour humanly possible in vintage menswear. The jacket itself is in unbelievable condition and appears to be barely worn.

It features a huge variety of unique pockets and wonderful design details such as one of the most incredible removable hoods we’ve ever seen, adjustable toggle drawstrings at the collar, waist, and hem, incredibly rare RESCUE squadron patch on the chest, and perfect two-way zippers.

All Canadian SAR Tech garments are unfathomably hard to find, but this one takes the cake. We are based in Canada, and are in contact with multiple SAR members (Nova Scotia features one of only three SAR opperations) and this is only the second of these jackets we have ever found. The other being safely stashed away in our archive!
