An absolute favorite of ours, and one that has taken us ages to track down in this condition. This is the incredibly badass and rare WW2 USAAF/ US Army Extreme Cold Weather Survival Mask. We have had a number of the dark navy coloured USN model, but this khaki/ tan variety is exceptionally hard to find, and seems to have been used primarily by high altitude USAAF door gunners, and the US 10th Mountain Division. During the post war period these also pop up in photos from the US’s excursions into Antarctica.
We were able to secure a two of them in deadstock condition (one is now in our archives. We present one of them here for sale). This one even has a lovely USAAF stamp on the inside!
