WW2 Canadian Army Mustard Canvas Mackinaw Motorcycle Coat.

WW2 Canadian Army Mustard Canvas Mackinaw Motorcycle Coat.

$1,000.00

This is an absolutely incredible coat, and in great condition. One of our favorite designs of all time and is largely responsible for getting us interested in this sort of vintage clothing. The WW2 Canadian Army Arctic Motorcycle Dispatch Mackinaw. NOT to be confused with the much more (relatively) common 1950’s counterpart featuring a much lower quality gray wool lining.

This exceedingly rare WW2 example is recognizable by it’s stunning, pristine, soft, warm white wool lining (and 1943 Canadian Broad arrow stamp!) This is not some sheepskin lined nightmare mackinaw like you see on Ebay now and again (I don’t touch those with a ten foot pole as the sheepskin liners are so brittle and fall to pieces!) This is a true white wool liner that will last your lifetime, and is incredibly comfortable.

Made to keep both sedentary/ stationary and seated/ driving soldiers warm in Arctic conditions, there are so many details it is hard to list them all. Heavy duty Yellow/ Khaki canvas outer, with thick soft/ warm wool fleece lining that ever goes all the way down the sleeves.

All buttons, belt, and original broad arrow stamp and manufacturing stamp are perfectly intact. This thing will last you a lifetime, and is the most stylish/ badass winter coat ever made. The quality of the construction and the materials used is astounding. This is one of the rare examples of a hyper masculine military design also being incredibly stylish and elegant.
