Hand Camo Painted WW2 US Army Arctic Mountaineering Smock Parka w/ Removable Liner.
One of the finest parkas we have ever had (Which is saying something, as we have had a LOT of parkas).
This is a WW2 US Army Mountaineering/ cold weather smock that has been extensively hand painted with incredible camouflaging. These parkas were worn extensively by the many arctic operations that were conducted by the US Military (mostly in Antarctica) during the late 1940’s, as well as the 1950’s and 60’s such a operation DEEP FREEZE, and operation HIGH JUMP.
This parka also comes with the incredibly rare/ fully removable alpaca wool pile liner in fantastic condition. Adjustable wooden toggles and buttons also all intact. All the design details and history go together to make one hell of a unique/ heavy duty piece of cold-weather equipment, and in good condition.
Approx size Large. (The various adjustable strings allow for a custom fit and would likely fit sizes Medium to XL comfortably)
pit to pit 29”
