Directly from our archive. One of the rarest (and our personal favorite) of the USAF Nylon Flight Jackets, this is the beautiful late 1940’s B-15b. Like the amazing N-3 parka we have listed separately (from the same Olive Nylon series of USAF aircrew gear) these were made for a VERY short amount of time, in very small quantities leading up to the outbreak of the Korean War before being replaced by the navy blue B-15c
These are hard enough to find in any condition, but virtually impossible to find in this kind of shape. Absolutely PERFECT zipper and USAF stencil stamp on the arm. Flawless tag, flawless 02 leather patch on the chest and it even has the original paper size tag in the pocket, which means IF it was ever worn, it was worn very, very little. This is as close to deadstock as you will ever see.
All that to say, do not miss this chance to own this iconic garment. We have gone to great lengths to photograph every SINGLE detail of this parka to try and convey just how gorgeous this thing is. Please take your time and go through them.
Leather O2 tab, ORIGINAL and beautiful “Prentice” zippers, knits, tag and snap buttons all intact and beautiful. The soft, warm mouton collar is in great condition, and the collar tab is intact. Some signs of storage wear/ moth nips here and there, but absolutely no stains.
