These jackets were issued in very small numbers throughout the 1950’s to RAF Aircrew as well as RAF Mountain Rescue. It was designed as the Spring/ Fall “Cold Weather” counterpart to the Extreme Cold Weather Parka version. It features a mid-length cut with an elongated “fishtail” in the back. Thick Water/ Windproof VENTILE cotton in a beautiful charcoal gray with contrast OD/ Khaki wool lining. Wooden toggles around the hood, Talon zipper, and with the original belt intact. The jacket also has it’s original tag intact with is very rare indeed. Some signs of wear, field repairs, broken button, etc. But overall in very nice shape.
