1950's Canadian Airborne Windproof Nylon Paratrooper Jump Smock w/ Camo Collar and Patch
We have been after one of these Early 1950’s Era Canadian Airborne Nylon Smocks for ages, and finally came in to a beautiful set of them (and have decided to sell ONE). These were developed and tested in 1950 and then introduced into service in 1951 as an official replacement for the British Denison Smocks of WW2. This lightweight Nylon smock proved to be a popular design and was used up until the 1970’s when the DPM Camo version was issued. Full of great details like the Heavy duty LIGHTNING zippers and big zip up pocket on the back of the jacket (This one also features a great Canadian Forces Unification Wing Patches from 1968 when the Canadian Navy, Air Force, and Army all merged to form the Canadian Armed Forces).
This smock also features a very rare and sought after rigger-mod. The use of the Soft Camo parachute material on the collar was used to cover up the scratchy original wool collar and would have been done by Riggers at the training depot. Not to mention it looks incredible! Side seams were also officially modded.
In great lightly worn condition with only a few signs of wear/ stains/ missing button, etc.
