An absolutely beautiful example of one of the most stylish and comfortable USN jackets ever made, and the earliest/ super rare model of the A-2 Deck Jacket.

This jacket is the early 1960’s model, stamped USN on the chest just like the WW2 Deck Jackets. Old style USN tag intact, CONMAR zipper, and amazing collar tab closure/ wrist straps that are missing on all later models. These are incredibly hard to find, especially in this condition.

"Synonymous with the Vietnam war the A-2 Deck Jacket took all the best design features from it predecessors of the previous 3 decades and amalgamated them into what has to be one of the most comfortable and useful jacket designs that came out of the US military.

The mil-spec wool lining is very warm, but so soft it can easily be worn next to the skin without any irritation or harshness. The button/zip front closure make sure no drafts or cold blasts penetrate."
