Small Deadstock 1940 WW2 British LRDG Tropal Kapok Khaki Clip Front Coat. Small Size

$0.00

One of our all time favorite British Military designs, these are very difficult to find, and are nearly impossible to find without being covered in glue stains from the Kapok lining. This has some staining (The Kapok lining on these coats was attached with glue during the war, which bleeds through the heavy canvas outer over time.) but By FAR the least amount of staining we have ever seen on one of these coats. They are usually destroyed from it.

This is completely unissued and has been in storage since the war. Aside from the aforementioned staining, it is in amazing condition. the wool collar/ lining is PRISTINE, as is the incredible broad arrow stamp/ tag.

These were first issued during the disastrous Norway campaign by the British during the early part of WW2, but these coats were deemed too heavy and bulky for combat, and were then sent to North Africa (of all places for a cold weather jacket) and found use with the relatively stationary positions of static gun crews and sentries during the cold desert nights.

Super warm, and in a great (and incredibly rare) smaller size, this jacket is a heavy duty, and stylish example of British Military design. It even features the beloved “USN Deck Jacket” style clip closures on the front.
