These are some exceedingly cool, and exceedingly rare shades.
Issued quite late in the war to US Navy aircrews as a lightweight, easy wearing alternative to the heavy duty metal aviators, these bakelite sunglasses are incredibly wearable and stylish by modern standards. They eventually found their hands into all sections of the US military, as well as having a life in the post-war civilian surplus market.
