$3,800.00

This is an extremely special offering.

On any given day, the Royal Navy Ventile “Foul Weather” Deck Smock is one of the most sought after vintage designs we source. But this one is exceptionally special. Straight from our archives, This is the very earliest 1st pattern of the smock, dating back to the late 1950’s.

99.99% of these smocks that are available for sale are from the 80’s and 90’s with the radio wire flaps on the chest. VERY scarcely is one seen from the 1970’s, and these earliest “bare chested” examples from the 1950’s are nearly non-existent. This smock was made by Legendary British Motorcycle clothing brand Belstaff International. This is a holy grail and it is only the 3rd example we have ever seen to date.

This gorgeous, and intricately designed/ constructed smock is made of heavy duty, rich navy Ventile cotton (A very expensive to manufacture water/ windproof fabric), available here in amazing condition and in a great smaller size (Usually the smocks are found in gargantuan sizes only)

The garment is very adjustable size wise, as the hood, waist, hem, and wrists all have strings and straps that can be tied or buttoned accordingly to keep wind and rain firmly OUT. The BELSTAFF tag is present and quite faded but parts of it are still readable including the words “SMOCK, WINDPROOF”
