Ultra Rare Mint 1940's USAF N-3 Extreme Cold Weather Parka Flight Jacket XL
This thing is absolutely unbeliveable. I have been trying to find an original N-3 in this condition for 15 years, and this is by FAR the finest I’ve ever seen/ had.
The very first time the US Military utilized Nylon in a garment, these Olive Drab N-3 Parkas were made immediately following WW2 as the US Army Air Force (USAAF) became the US Air Force (USAF). The N-3 became the go-to Extreme Cold Weather garment for Aircrew and were constructed with no expense spared, and were only made for a very brief period of time before being quickly replaced by the far less impressively made Navy Blue N-3A. These late 40’s Olive examples are incredibly rare, in this condition they might as well be non-existent.
All that to say, do not miss this chance to own this iconic garment. We have gone to great lengths to photograph every SINGLE detail of this parka to try and convey just how gorgeous this thing is. Please take your time and go through them.
Beautiful OD nylon outer, thick soft mouton lined hood with Coyote fur trim, leather 02 tab on the chest still present, heavy duty spring-loaded CROWN zippers both work perfectly, all buttons present, original tag, and great condition wool cuffs.
