The A-2 was generally made of a fairly lightweight cotton/ nylon blend, but for whatever reason in 1964 a handful were made in this stunning, thick, textured, warm, gorgeous Jungle cloth material, just as the WW2 deck jackets were. Many collectors don’t even know these exist.
This example is in absolutely astonishing condition, nearly mint. All buttons, tags, zippers, and adjustable waist straps are all perfectly intact, as well as some stencils on the back. Speaking from experience, it would take a miracle to find a finer example of this amazing USN jackets.
