Nigel Cabourn Ventile Goose Down "Everest Parka", Survival Orange.

Nigel Cabourn Ventile Goose Down "Everest Parka", Survival Orange.
This is a painful one to part with, but the wardrobe is constantly in flux!
This is the Cadillac of extreme cold weather parkas. I’m not sure if Nigel Cabourn even makes these any more as they seem to be exceedingly difficult to find these days.
New, these things were over 3000 GBP (approx $4000 USD) and are constructed of the finest possibly materials, to the highest possible quality. Thick goose down insulation, two layers of extreme expensive wind/ water resistant VENTILE cotton, coyote fur trimmed hood that is lined with absolutely stunning, soft, warm, pristine sheepskin, bone buttons, and two-way RIRI zipper.
The design is based off of the original FAIRYDOWN parka worn by Sir Edmund Hillary during the 1950’s Trans Antarctica Expedition (of which we have an original in our archive, and this certainly gives it a run for it’s money!)
This example was worn by yours truly, but not as of late, as I live on a 200 year old farm and though I sometimes trick myself into buying expensive garments, I rarely have the occasion to wear them without getting them covered in mud and filth! This was mostly admired whist hanging safely in a closet.
Don’t miss this chance, as they have become quite difficult and expensive to track down.
