This jacket is an incredibly rare gem (This being the only example we have ever seen) and a perfect example of why vintage menswear is so compelling. Original 1970s U.S. Antarctic Research Program (USARP) varsity-style bomber, in a deep navy satin with bold striped ribbed cuffs, collar, and waistband. Timeless Americana.
Features include a vertical “ANTARCTICA” applique and classic, iconic, and much sought after USARP patch. Lightweight quilted lining, snap-front closure, and handwarmer slash pockets round out the design.
Clean, athletic lines and Cold War-era science heritage make this an exceptional piece of vintage outerwear.
