Early 1950's Korean War Canadian Army Extreme Cold Weather Parka.

$0.00

A very rare and absolutely stunning early example of the Canadian Army Extreme Cold Weather Parka. This beast of a coat was made in the early 1950’s during the outset of the Korean War for the Canadian Army in preparation for the exceedingly cold Northern Korean winters. They are incredibly hard to find, especially in such beautiful condition as this, complete with the oft missing wool pile windproof liner and huge wool lined hood.

The construction, materials, and details are dizzying and as beautiful as it gets. No expense was sparred on these earlier models with heavy duty LIGHTNING zipper, adjustable pull strings everywhere (including heavy brass adjustable knobs on the hood), and the classic “Canadian Style” buttons all intact. This parka even comes with it’s original removable “CANADA” tab on the front lapel slip.

It is in fantastic condition, and it’s heavy wind/water resistant nylon and wool construction is sure to keep you warm and dry all winter long.
