This is such a gorgeous and special item. As a long time collector and vintage North Face enthusiast, this is our first time having this pattern. Not only is it a rare design from the golden age of outer/ adventure-wear, but it is in exquisite deadstock (unused) condition.
A classic and timeless “burnt orange” (or as we love to call it “Survival orange” due to the high-visibility nature of these vintage mountaineering/ expedition pieces), this pull over smock features a tightly woven windproof shell (likely gore-tex), huge kangaroo pocket on the front, zip-up/ drawstring hood, and even a NORTH FACE printed drawstring at the hem. Our favorite detail is definitely the knit cuffs, the whole piece is like a complete shelter that you can wear to keep the foul weather OUT, where it belongs.
