I love these things. They look like something from David Lynch’s DUNE, total dystopian industrial fetish punk.
These things are not easy to track down, and are about as niche as they come. These foul weather jackets were custom tailored for US Army troops based in post-war Germany and are referred to as “Graf Parkas” after the Grafenwohr Gunnery Base where they originated.
Each one is totally customized and one-of-a-kind, and OFTEN they are made either terribly, or incredibly boring with no standout details.
This one however was made with an incredible attention to detail/ construction. Totally lined with gorgeous olive drab wool, rubberized waterproof shell, and even zip up handwarming pockets! Unheard of on these generally-stripped down parkas,
The parka also features incredibly expensive german RIRI zippers. A truly unique piece.
