WW2 USAAF Survival Boonie Bush Hat C-1 Reversible Yellow/ Olive Drab. With Interesting Provenance!

This is the VERY rare WW2 version of the C-1 survival hat that comes with some very interesting history.

One of our favorite (and rarest) USAAF pieces from the Second World War. These reversible boonie/ bush hats were issued in the survival kits of USAF pilots to be used in the event that the user crash landed.

This one also comes with some fascinating provenance. It came from the estate of one Sherry Landis, who was an American exotic dancer that found herself in Vietnam during the war, entertaining the troops. This WW2 Era Hat must have found it’s way into her act. The hat comes with a number of interesting photographs and news clippings of her during her time spent in Vietnam. Truly one of a kind, and not the sort of item history we usually encounter around here!

One size fits all (due to the awesome adjustable strap weaved through the cap), and fully reversible (survival yellow on one side, olive drab on the other).signs of wear/ some stains and fading but overall in great condition.
